My love of jewellery began as a little girl when a favourite French aunt bought me a beaded jewellery kit. I can still recall how the beautiful jelly colours captured my imagination. I love film, theatre, fashion, photography, architecture and travel; combined with seeing beauty in the little things, they all influence my jewellery making. Elegance, a free spirit, humour and the charm and whimsical air of found gems in the faded glory of ancient design, capture the essence of Darling Golightly.
I started making the silk cord jewellery, wire rings and earrings many years ago and then a few years ago, hair vines and wedding jewellery also captured my attention. In addition to this I am interested in silversmithing. I enjoy experimenting with different colour combinations and particularly like using rose gold with aquamarine.
